Todo muy bien. Análisis de la UE del mercado español en 2006

Para el mercado español, la CE destaca en su 12th report sobre la competencia en los países de la UE lo siguiente:
1. Aunque nos retrasamos en iniciar los análisis de mercados relevantes, luego lo hemos todos en un año.
2. La regulación a tenido un impacto significativo en el incremento de la comeptencia en los mercados relevantes: desagregación del bucle, y portabilidad de número.
3. Incremento de competencia en el mercado de móivl por la aparición de los OMV, con nuevos esquemas tarifarios pero me pregunto ¿son más baratos?.
4. Consumidores que se han beneficiado de bajada de precios.
5. Barreras para los operadores: dificultades financieras y dificultades con el despliegue de las redes.
6. Broadband. broadband penetration increased to 13.9%, below the EU average (15.7%). ADSL is the main technology used. The incumbent has gained market share: 55.8% in October 2006. Significant investment by alternative operators. Number of unbundled lines more than doubled in the past year. Last November, CMT imposed a large fine (€20 million) to Telefonica for hindering unbundling of local loops by alternative operators.
7. Mobile. Mobile penetration (104% ) is just above the EU average (103%). Incumbent market share 46%, the second operator’s share increased to 29.8% and the third operator’s remained stable (23.9%). Recent entry of MVNO, and Yoigo, the fourth UMTS licence-holder.
The CMT imposed access obligation on the three dominant mobile network operators, which they appealed against to the national court. The glide path for mobile termination rates established to gradually lower prices to a converged price of 7 cent per minute from April 2009.
8. Fixed telephony. Competition increased in this rather mature market. Alternative direct access 13.9% (12.3% the previous year). Number of pre-selected lines decreased by 14.5% to 2 million. Unbundling is currently the option preferred by alternative operators.
CMT studying the impact of introducing wholesale line rental. CMT withdrew the previous price cap system for Telefonica.
9. Broadcasting. cable (8.2%), satellite (17.2%) and analogue terrestrial television (74.0%), plus DSL-based operations.
